Sketches and final illustrastion for my perfume column in D2 Magazine. The subject of the article was the mighty tuberose, and included reviews of Carnal Flower, Tubereuse Criminelle, Fracas and Nuit de Tubereuse.
New talents to HQ We are very pleased to announce that we have employed the two junior designers Mari Grafsrønningen and Katinka Pisani Sundhagen. Mari is a graduate of Westerdals (graphic design) and Gjøvik University College (media design). She also got a craft certificate in typography, and has work experience from Østlendingen and Dagens Næringsliv. Katinka is a graduate of Westerdals (graphic design) and Krabbersholm Højskole (product design and graphic design) in Denmark. The two worked together in Studio 3 @ Westerdals and has won numerous studentawards, including gold and silver in “Gullkalven” and gold and bronze in “Design for alvor”. We did the illustration for this Leger uten grenser ad in collaboration with Dinamo. It compares the death toll from the tsunami in Southeast Asia in 2004 with the average number of child deaths worldwide per month. The ad text reads as follows: “The tsunami in 2004 claimed over 200,000 lives, and news pictures went around the world.
